Hyco Canada is located in St. Wesceslas Quebec. The plant began as Lessard Hydraulic Cylinders way back in 1953. Hard work and ingenuity resulted in the Lessard name gaining a well earned reputation for building quality hydraulic cylinders and providing excellent customer service. In 1984, Lessard was purchased by Dana Corp. Then, in 1998, it changed hands again and became part of the Hyco group of companies. Hyco is an international manufacturing company that specializes in producing hydraulic actuators. Today Hyco Canada is one of 6 Hyco facilities on 3 continents. Together, these 6 plants produce, on average, over 5000 hydraulic cylinders every day! This makes Hyco the worlds largest manufacturer of hydraulic actuators with sales of over $230 million annually and 6% of the global market. Continuous technology upgrades and CNC machine purchases have enabled Hyco Canada to lead the OEM Welded Body Cylinder market in quality, delivery and cost control. Recent equipment additions include friction welding and robotic welding stations.
Hyco Canada has implemented leading edge CAD/CAM technology. This enables our product engineers to quickly design custom actuators and then send these designs to production. Even special cylinder designs can be easily transferred to any of the 6 Hyco plants worldwide. This ability maximizes our production equipment usage and provides our international customers with a smooth global supply solution for their custom hydraulic cylinders.
